Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I woke up this morning feeling enthusiastic about really REALLY getting on with the tidying and sorting and de-cluttering that will enable us to get the men in to rearrange the furniture. And to seriously do something about making Christmas cards to sell in support of our local hospital's cancer unit and to re read my novel and get it on Kindle. PHEW! Wish me luck.

Blogger is not co-operating tonight so I am having to leave this in the layout that is being imposed on me. Below, I hope, is a photo of my maternal grandfather, in India during the Great War. He also saw action at Gallipoli and went over the top at The Somme. I am grateful that I was able to talk to him about his early life and keep a record of what we discussed. He was very fortunate.

And I might do a bit of crafting. I am so grateful to my lovely hubby that he understands my need to rest and is very sympathetic
